The forthcoming campus could amount to the most significant Colorado investment made by CommonSpirit for several years. The system chose the south suburban location because of rapid population growth in the area coupled with projections that over 65% of Douglas County’s population is expected to reach the age of 65 or older before 2030.
The practice, which specializes in neurology, neurosurgery, pain management, orthopedics, rehabilitation and diagnostics, office will be in the Southbrooke Medical Center on Immokalee Road. It is taking the entirety of the Phase II building and will use 14,000 square feet as an ambulatory surgery center with the remaining 6,000 square feet as an MRI Facility.
The Jupiter, Florida-based real estate investment company will use the funds to acquire health care facilities in Texas, Ohio and Connecticut — one facility each. Healing Realty Trust is focused on developing real estate for clinics that house novel behavioral health treatments, especially psychedelic-assisted therapies.
